Our Services

Resource Consents

We can help you prepare your resource consent application for lodgement with Council. Once lodged, we can facilitate the consenting process through to completion, keeping you well-informed throughout the entire process right through to the issue of your consent. No matter what consent you need, we can advise you on how best to obtain that all important 'approved'.

Site Feasibility Reports

If you are thinking about buying a property and want to know the development potential (such as how many sections can I create), we can undertake the necessary research and investigations to ensure you are well-equipped with information. We work closely with local real estate agents and property developers, to ensure the prospective purchasers know exactly what the potential, and limitations are, of the property.

Designations and Notices of Requirement

Jake has processed both Outline Plan applications for Requiring Authorities (such as Councils, education providers and airport authorities) as well as prepared and facilitated the granting of new Designations through the preparation of Notices of Requirement.

Commercial Activities

In many cases, a new commercial activity or an expansion of an existing commercial activity (such as a restaurant, mechanic workshop or a retail outlet), may require a resource consent. Jake can advise on the requirements you need to consider for your commercial development, such as how many carparks are required, to whether your signage is compliant.

Subdivision

Whether you are simply wanting to subdivide your back section, or undertake a multi-staged greenfield subdivision, Jake can advise on how best to develop your land in accordance with the relevant regulations. Working closely with an established network of other professionals, Jake will secure all necessary consents to get your subdivision granted and ready for Titles.

Air BnB's and Visitor Accommodation

If you would like to rent out your home or investment property on a short-term basis and advertise online, this will often require approvals from the relevant Council in your area. Jake is an expert in preparing and facilitating the successful outcome of these types of consents from registered homestays to full-time visitor accommodation activities.

Evidence for Council Hearings

Some resource consents may require notification and ultimately, a hearing in front of a panel of Decision Makers. Jake is very experienced in the preparation of planning evidence and facilitation of the hearing process on behalf of his Clients. Jake will manage all of the relevant experts to ensure a sound and credible set of evidence is provided for the hearing process.

Project Management

We can act as a main point of contact between the client and the consultant team, local authority and others as necessary. Our expertise and reputation enables us to effectively coordinate a team of consultants to prepare the required expert reports to support any application.
